## Respektvolle Botschaften, Ermutigungen und Anteilnahme

Die Familie verbringt den Tag im Wald. Mauro hat mit seinem Vater einen Bogen und einen Pfeil aus Ästen hergestellt. Diese müssen nun ausprobiert werden. Für Mauro ist das Hantieren mit Pfeil und Bogen ganz neu, er muss es erst lernen. Der Vater unterstützt seinen Sohn mit Erklärungen und mit Vorzeigen. Er nimmt sich ausreichend Zeit für Mauro und unterstützt ihn geduldig. Er macht sich Gedanken, wie er dem Jungen das Abschiessen des Pfeils erleichtern könnte. Er kürzt den Pfeil und überlegt sich, wie Mauro den Bogen am einfachsten halten könnte. Das Verhalten und die Äusserungen des Vaters haben einen massgeblichen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung von Mauros Selbstbewusstsein. Mauro erlebt, dass sein Vater sich für ihn und seine Anliegen interessiert und ihm zutraut, Pfeil und Bogen zu benutzen und den Umgang damit zu lernen. Dies ermuntert ihn, Neues auszuprobieren. Auch wenn es am Anfang noch schwierig ist und der Pfeil die ersten Male nicht so richtig fliegen will, bleibt der Vater dennoch ruhig und ermuntert Mauro, es weiter zu versuchen. Als es dann endlich klappt und der Pfeil durch die Luft fliegt, freut sich der Vater gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn. „Ja! Der ist weit geflogen!“, sagt er. Auch der Mutter will Mauro seinen Erfolg zeigen. Mauro sucht damit aktiv die Anteilnahme seiner Bezugspersonen. Aus den Kommentaren und Verhaltensweisen der Erwachsenen erfahren Kinder, was sie selbst bewirken können und wie sie auf andere wirken. Als der Pfeil ein zweites Mal fliegt, schaut Mauro sofort zu seiner Mutter. Er möchte wissen, ob sie das Gelingen gesehen hat und wie sie darauf reagiert. Die Mutter ist ebenfalls begeistert und ruft: „Cool, hey! Lässig!“ Die Eltern wissen, dass das Abschiessen eines Pfeils nicht einfach ist. Beide zeigen ehrliche Freude über Mauros Leistung und vermitteln ihm dadurch ihre Wertschätzung. So kann Mauro sein eigenes Tun besser einschätzen und wird bestärkt in seinem Gefühl, dass er einen grossen Fortschritt erzielt hat. Dies alles unterstützt Mauro darin, ein positives und zugleich realistisches Selbstkonzept nach und nach aufzubauen.

## Herausforderungen

Bereits das Herstellen von Pfeil und Bogen will gelernt sein. Damit umgehen zu können, stellt erst recht eine knifflige Aufgabe dar. Wie muss man den Bogen halten? An welcher Stelle kommt welcher Finger? Wie weit muss der Bogen gespannt werden, damit der Pfeil richtig fliegt? Und wann ist der richtige Moment, um loszulassen? Es sind echte Herausforderungen, die sich da für Mauro stellen. Um das alles zu wissen und zu beherrschen, muss Mauro viel ausprobieren, es mehrmals versuchen und sich trotz Niederlagen nicht vom Ziel abbringen lassen. Umso grösser ist die Freude, als es endlich klappt. Mauro erlebt, dass sich die Anstrengung gelohnt hat und er damit ein Ziel erreichen kann. Der Erfolg löst Glücksgefühle aus, welche Mauro mit einem breiten Lächeln zeigt. Das Erfolgserlebnis gibt Motivation, es gleich noch einmal zu versuchen. Und es hilft, um das Gelernte nachhaltig im Gedächtnis zu verankern.

## Ganzheitliches Lernen

Pfeil und Bogen selber herzustellen und zu benutzen, erfordert viel Wissen, Geduld und Geschick. Mauro verbringt, aufmerksam begleitet und angeleitet von seinem Vater, eine spannende und lehrreiche Zeit im Wald. Er probiert aus, wiederholt und hält stand. Durch Misserfolge lässt er sich nicht abbringen. Gerade dann kann er auf die Unterstützung seines Vaters zählen. Dieser zeigt und erklärt genau so viel, wie Mauro braucht, um es selbst zu schaffen. Mauro ist dabei hoch konzentriert. Er hört aufmerksam zu und beobachtet genau, was und wie es der Vater macht. Dieser lässt Mauro auch ausgiebig selbst ausprobieren. Kleine Kinder sind Forscher und Entdecker. Sie wollen selbst experimentieren und eigene Hypothesen entwickeln. Dies bedeutet, dass Kinder Vermutungen haben, z.B. was passiert, wenn man etwas Bestimmtes tut. Sie überprüfen diese Vermutung durch Ausprobieren. Ihr Lernen geschieht über Handlungen und Erfahrungen – durch Selbsttätig-Sein und durch den Austausch mit anderen. Mauro lernt durch Beobachten, durch Nachahmen, durch Ausprobieren und durch Wiederholungen. Dabei erfährt er nicht nur, wie man mit Pfeil und Bogen umgeht, sondern er übt sich auch darin, Frustrationen auszuhalten, und erlebt, wie er selber etwas bewirken kann.

## Respectful messages, encouragement and taking interest

Mauro’s family is spending the day in the wood. Mauro and his father have made a bow and arrow out of branches, and it is time to try it out. Handling a bow and arrow is new to Mauro, so he will have to learn how to use it first. His father helps him by explaining and demonstrating. He gives Mauro ample time and supports Mauro patiently. He thinks about how he can make shooting the arrow easier for Mauro. He shortens the arrow and thinks about the easiest way for Mauro to hold the bow. Mauro’s father’s behavior and what he says have a decisive effect on the development of Mauro’s self-confidence. Mauro feels his father’s interest in him and his concerns and senses his father’s confidence that Mauro can learn to use the bow and arrow. This encourages him to try out something new. Even though it is difficult at first and the arrow does not quite fly the first few times, his father remains calm and encourages Mauro to keep on trying. When Mauro finally succeeds and the arrow flies through the air, his father shares his happiness: “Yes! That went far!” he says. Mauro also wants to show his mother his success. He is actively seeking his parents’ involvement. Adult comments and behavior allow children to experience what they themselves can do and how they come across to others. When he succeeds in shooting the arrow a second time, Mauro immediately looks at this mother. He wants to know if she has seen his success and what her reaction is. His mother is also thrilled and calls out, “That was cool! Great!” Mauro’s parents know that it is not easy to shoot an arrow. They both take genuine pleasure in Mauro’s accomplishment, showing that they appreciate him. Mauro can better assess his own actions and is reinforced in his feeling that he has made a big step forward. All of this supports Mauro’s gradual development of a positive and also realistic self-concept.

## Challenges

Making a bow and arrow itself is something that has to be learned; learning how to use it is even more of a tricky task. How must the bow be held? What finger goes where? How far must the bow be drawn so that the arrow flies correctly? When is the right moment to release the arrow? These are real challenges for Mauro. To know and master all of this, Mauro has to try out a lot of things, make several attempts and not allow himself to give up when he fails. His joy is that much greater when he finally succeeds. Mauro sees that the effort was worth it and enabled him to reach a goal. His success gives him a great deal of pleasure, which he shows with a broad smile. The experience of success motivates children to try again. And it helps them to anchor what was learned in their memory.

## Holistic learning

Making and using a bow and arrow requires a lot of know-how, patience and skill. With his father’s attentive support and guidance, Mauro has an exciting and instructive time in the wood. He tries things out, repeats his efforts and shows persistence. He does not allow failures to deter him. This is precisely the moment when he can count on his father’s support. His father gives just the right measure of instruction that Mauro needs to be able to do it by himself. Mauro is highly focused; he listens attentively and observes carefully what and how his father does it. His father allows Mauro to try it himself again and again. Young children are explorers and discoverers. They want to experiment on their own and develop their own hypotheses. This means that children form assumptions about what will happen if you do a certain thing. They test these assumptions by trying things out. They learn by doing and experiencing, through their own activity and through exchange with others. Mauro learns by observing, imitating, trying things out and repetition. In this way, he not only learns how to use the bow and arrow but also practicestolerating frustration and experiences himself as capable.

## Des messages respectueux, des encouragements et de l’empathie

La famille passe la journée en forêt. Mauro a fabriqué, avec l’aide de son père, un arc et des flèches avec des branches. Il veut maintenant les essayer. C’est la première fois que Mauro a un arc et des flèches dans les mains, il doit apprendre comment s’en servir. Son père l’aide en lui donnant des explications et en lui montrant comment faire. Il consacre le temps nécessaire à Mauro et l’aide patiemment. Il réfléchit au meilleur moyen d’aider le petit garçon à décocher sa flèche. Il raccourcit la flèche et se demande comment simplifier la posture que doit prendre Mauro pour tenir l’arc. L’attitude et les commentaires du père ont une influence essentielle sur le développement chez Mauro de la conscience de soi. Mauro voit que son père s’intéresse à lui et à ce qu’il ressent, et qu’il le pense capable de tenir l’arc avec les flèches, et d’apprendre à s’en servir correctement. Cela l’encourage à essayer des choses nouvelles. Même si c’est encore difficile au début et que la flèche ne veut pas vraiment «s’envoler» les premières fois, le père reste patient et encourage Mauro à continuer à essayer. Quand celui-ci finit par y arriver et que la flèche est partie, le père partage la joie de son fils. «Oui! Elle est partie loin!», s’écrie-t-il. Mauro veut aussi montrer sa réussite à sa mère. Il recherche ainsi activement la participation de ses personnes de référence. Grâce aux commentaires et aux attitudes des adultes, les enfants réalisent ce qu’ils peuvent accomplir et l’effet qu’ils produisent sur les autres. Quand la flèche s’envole une deuxième fois, Mauro se tourne aussitôt vers sa mère. Il veut savoir si elle a vu son petit exploit et comment elle réagit. Celle-ci est également enthousiaste et lui dit «Eh, bravo, très bien!» Les parents savent qu’il n’est pas facile de tirer à l’arc. Ils montrent tous deux qu’ils sont contents de la performance de Mauro et lui indiquent ainsi qu’ils estiment sa valeur. Mauro est ainsi mieux en mesure d’évaluer ses actes et il est conforté dans son sentiment d’avoir accompli un grand progrès. Tout cela le soutient dans la constitution progressive d’une perception de soi à la fois positive et réaliste.

## Défis

Fabriquer un arc n’est pas chose facile, cela s’apprend. Savoir s’en servir est encore plus difficile. Comment doit-on tenir l’arc? Où placer les doigts? Quelle tension doit-on donner à l’arc pour que la flèche aille loin? Et à quel moment faut-il relâcher? Ce sont de vrais défis auxquels Mauro est confronté. Pour apprendre et maîtriser tout cela, il doit faire de nombreuses tentatives, beaucoup essayer et, malgré les échecs, ne pas se laisser détourner de son but. La joie est d’autant plus grande quand cela finit par fonctionner. Mauro voit que les efforts en ont valu la peine et qu’ils lui ont permis d’atteindre un but. La réussite génère des sentiments de bien-être, comme en témoigne le large sourire qui se dessine sur les lèvres de Mauro. L’expérience d’un succès donne de la motivation pour réessayer aussitôt. Et cela aide à inscrire durablement dans la mémoire les choses qui ont été apprises.

## Un apprentissage global

Fabriquer soi-même un arc et des flèches, et s’en servir, exigent beaucoup de connaissances, de patience et d’adresse. Accompagné et guidé avec attention par son père, Mauro passe un moment passionnant et instructif en forêt. Il essaie, répète et tient bon. Il ne se laisse pas détourner par les échecs. Et c’est précisément là qu’il peut compter sur le soutien de son père. Celui-ci montre et explique juste ce dont Mauro a besoin pour le faire lui-même. Mauro est très concentré. Il écoute avec attention et observe précisément ce que fait son père et comment il le fait. Son père le laisse d’ailleurs largement essayer lui-même. Les jeunes enfants sont des chercheurs et des explorateurs. Ils veulent faire eux-mêmes l’expérience des choses et élaborer des hypothèses. C’est qu’ils supposent des choses, par exemple ce qui se passe si on fait quelque chose de précis. Ils vérifient leurs suppositions dans la pratique, en essayant. Leur apprentissage passe par l’action et l’expérience – en étant eux-mêmes actifs et en échangeant avec les autres. Mauro apprend en observant, en imitant, en essayant et en répétant. A cet égard, il n’apprend pas seulement comment on se sert d’un arc et de flèches, mais il s’entraîne également à supporter la frustration, et fait l’expérience de l’influence qu’il peut avoir sur les choses.

## Messaggi rispettosi, incoraggiamenti e partecipazione

La famiglia trascorre la giornata nel bosco. Con il suo papà, Mauro ha costruito con i rami un arco e una freccia. Ora si tratta di provarli. Per Mauro la manipolazione dell’arco con la freccia è una cosa nuova e perciò deve essere appresa. Il padre lo incoraggia con spiegazioni e con dimostrazioni.

Il padre si prende il tempo necessario e lo sostiene con pazienza. Il padre si pone l’interrogativo su come facilitare il compito di far partire la freccia. Raccorcia la freccia e riflette su quale possa essere la procedura più semplice per Mauro. Ciò che il padre esprime influisce in modo importante sullo sviluppo della consapevolezza di sé in Mauro. Mauro vive l’esperienza di chi avverte di avere un padre che si interessa alle sue vicende e che gli dà fiducia. Tutto ciò lo incoraggia a provare qualche cosa di nuovo. Anche se, all’inizio, tutto sembra difficile e la freccia non sembra partire nel modo voluto, il padre rimane calmo e incoraggia Mauro a voler proseguire nei tentativi. Quando poi la freccia vola nell’aria, il padre manifesta la sua gioia. “Sì! E’ volata lontano!”, dice. Mauro desidera mostrare il suo successo anche alla madre. E’ in questo modo che Mauro cerca attivamente il coinvolgimento della sua persona di riferimento.

Attraverso i commenti e i comportamenti degli adulti i bambini imparano a capire quali sono i risultati che riescono a raggiungere, e quale effetto hanno sugli altri. Nel momento in cui la freccia vola per la seconda volta, Mauro guarda subito verso la sua mamma.

Mauro desidera sapere se la madre ha visto l’esito positivo e desidera sapere come reagisce all’evento. Anche la madre è entusiasta ed esclama: “Hei, fantastico!” I genitori sanno che far partire una freccia non è la cosa più facile. Ambedue i genitori manifestano un sentimento di autentico piacere nel vedere ciò che ha saputo fare Mauro e attestano il loro apprezzamento. Così facendo, rafforzano in Mauro la sua autostima e gli consentono di capire che ha fatto un grande progresso. Il tutto ha come conseguenza la costruzione graduale di un concetto del sé positivo e, al tempo stesso, realistico.

## Sfide

La costruzione dell’arco e della freccia deve essere appresa. Riuscire a farne uso è un compito particolarmente delicato. Come si deve tenere l’arco? In quale punto, con quali dita? Fino a che punto deve essere tirato l’arco per fare in modo che la freccia parta nel modo giusto? E quando è il momento giusto per farla partire? Sono tutte autentiche sollecitazioni che si presentano a Mauro. Per riuscire a conoscere tutto ciò Mauro deve provare molte volte, senza abbandonare l’obiettivo, nonostante gli insuccessi. La gioia è tanto più grande quando poi il tutto riesce. Mauro constata che è valsa la pena investire tanti sforzi, e che è in grado di raggiungere lo scopo. Il successo libera sentimenti di gioia che si traducono in un largo sorriso. Il sentimento di riuscita motiva Mauro a voler provare un’altra volta. E ciò permette di consolidare nella memoria ciò che si è imparato.

## Apprendimento olistico

Riuscire a costruire un arco e una freccia presuppone la presenza di molte conoscenze, di pazienza e di abilità. In presenza, e con l’iniziazione de parte del padre, Mauro trascorre nel bosco un momento stimolante e ricco di insegnamenti. Egli prova e ripete con perseveranza. L’insuccesso non lo scoraggia. E’ proprio in quei momenti che può far capo al sostegno del padre. Quest’ultimo fornisce quel tanto di spiegazioni che consentono a Mauro di riuscire da solo. Ciò facendo Mauro è molto concentrato. Ascolta con attenzione e osserva come e cosa sta facendo il padre. Il padre, a sua volta, concede a Mauro un largo margine per provare.

I bambini piccoli sono ricercatori e scopritori. Vogliono sperimentare in modo autonomo e formulare loro ipotesi. Ciò significa che verificano tali supposizioni attraverso tentativi. Il loro modo di apprendere avviene attraverso le attività e le esperienze. Queste ultime realizzate in modo autonomo e attraverso lo scambio con altri. Mauro impara osservando, imitando, provando e ripetendo. Ciò facendo, non impara solo a usare l’arco e la freccia, ma esercita anche la capacità di sopportare le frustrazioni e, inoltre, vive l’esperienza del saper produrre effetti.
