## Bilderbücher nutzen und geniessen (S. 32)
Nico ist erkältet und geniesst die Zweisamkeit mit seiner Mutter. Gemeinsam schauen sie Bilderbücher an. Nico signalisiert deutlich, welches Buch er als nächstes anschauen möchte. Es ist wichtig, dass die Mutter auf den Wunsch ihres Sohnes eingeht und er Bilderbücher nach seinen eigenen Interessen auswählen kann. So ist er engagiert und motiviert bei der Sache. Nico kennt das ausgewählte Wimmelbuch bestens. Schon oft hat er es angeschaut. Er liebt es, die gleichen Bücher immer wieder anzuschauen und profitiert von diesen Wiederholungen. So kann er immer mehr Details entdecken und ein umfassendes Verständnis der Inhalte aufbauen. Wie sieht ein Fahrrad, wie ein Motorrad aus? Die Bilder und das Gespräch mit der Mutter bringen Klärung.

Vom Motorrad zum Kätzchen, zu den Flugzeugen und zum Helikopter: Wimmelbücher – und Bilderbücher ganz generell – bieten viele Gelegenheiten, zusammen ins Gespräch zu kommen, und ermöglichen es, verschiedene Welten zu entdecken. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass Kinder Zugang zu einer vielfältigen Auswahl von Bilderbüchern haben. 

## Herausfordernde Sprachhandlungen realisieren (S. 29 f.)
Die Bilder der Flugzeuge und Helikopter im Wimmelbuch erinnern Nico an eigene Erfahrungen und regen ihn an, darüber zu reden. Er hat auch schon Helikopter gesehen und gehört. Das teilt er der Mutter mit. Diese geht auf seine Initiative ein und knüpft an gemeinsamen Erlebnissen an („Und weisst du, wo wir einen Helikopter gesehen haben?“). Wenn über Ereignisse oder Erlebnisse, die in der Vergangenheit oder in der Zukunft liegen, geredet wird, sind sprachliche Mittel besonders wichtig. Denn hier wird über Sachverhalte gesprochen, die ausserhalb des unmittelbaren Wahrnehmungsraums liegen und damit nicht sichtbar sind.

Die Mutter bietet Nico Formulierungshilfen an und stellt passende Fragen, die für das Kind gut verständlich, unterstützend und weiterführend sind. So regt sie Nico dazu an, seine eigenen Beiträge laufend zu erweitern.

## Gemeinsam längere Gesprächsfäden spinnen (S. 23)
Schon oft haben Nico und seine Mutter das Spiel „Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst“ gespielt. Nico mag das Spiel und stellt seiner Mutter auch gleich die erste Frage. Diese lässt sich darauf ein und findet den nackten Mann. Nico und seine Mutter sind vertieft bei der Sache. Das Buch ist dabei das gemeinsame Bezugsobjekt und unterstützt die beiden beim Entwickeln eines längeren Gesprächs. Dies zu Beginn durch das gemeinsame Suchspiel, das die Blicke und den Dialog der beiden auf Fahrräder, Motorräder und schliesslich auf Flugzeuge und Helikopter lenkt. Von hier wird nun der Gesprächsfaden weitergesponnen, weg vom Buch und hin zu eigenen Erlebnissen und Erfahrungen. Auch jetzt bleiben beide bei der Sache und entwickeln so das Thema weiter. Die Mutter hält das Gespräch am Laufen und regt Nico an, sich einzubringen. So kann Nico seine Fähigkeiten zum interaktiven Zusammenspiel laufend auf- und ausbauen. 

## Using and enjoying picture books and other children’s media (p. 26)
Nico has a cold and is enjoying some time with his mother. They are looking at picture books together. Nico clearly signals which book he wants to look at next. It is important that his mother accepts her son’s wish and allows him to select picture books that interest him. By doing so, he will be active and fully focused on the task at hand. Nico knows his hidden picture book of choice inside and out. He has looked at it many times before. He loves looking at the same books time and again and benefits from these repetitions. In this way, he can always discover more details and build up a comprehensive understanding of the content. What does a bicycle/motorbike look like? The pictures and the discussion with his mother provide clarification.

From a motorbike to a kitten, to planes and to a helicopter: Hidden picture books – and picture books in general – provide many opportunities to start discussions and discover different worlds. Therefore, it is important that children have access to a wide variety of such books. 

## Encouraging challenging language tasks (p. 25)
The pictures of the planes and helicopter in the hidden picture book remind Nico of his own experiences and encourage him to speak about then. He has already seen and heard helicopters. He tells his mother this. She picks up on his initiative and ties it to their mutual experiences (“And do you know where we have seen a helicopter?”). Linguistic tools are particularly important when talking about past or future events or experiences. The reason is that such a discussion involves matters which lie outside the immediate world of perception and are thus not visible.

Nico’s mother assists him with formulating utterances and asks suitable, supportive questions that he can understand well and that help him to progress in language terms. In this way, she encourages Nico to expand on his contributions on an ongoing basis.

## Jointly spinning sustained conversational threads (p. 21)
Nico and his mother have often played the game “I spy something that you don't see”. Nico likes the game and immediately asks his mother the first question. She accepts the challenge and finds the naked man. Nico and his mother are absorbed in the task at hand. In the process, the book is a joint reference object which helps the two of them to develop a longer discussion. This is initially as a result of the search game which switches the attention of the two and the dialogue to bicycles, motorbikes and finally planes and helicopters. From here, the discussion threads are developed away from the book and around their own experiences. Now the two of them also stay on task and thus develop the topic in the process. Nico’s mother keeps the discussion going and encourages him to get involved. In this way, Nico can progressively increase and extend his linguistic skills in the interactive cooperation. 

## Utiliser des livres d’images et autres médias destinés aux enfants (p. 32)
Nico est malade et profite d'un moment en tête-à-tête avec sa maman. Ils regardent ensemble des livres d’image. Nico indique clairement quel livre il souhaite regarder ensuite. Il est important que la mère respecte le souhait de son fils et qu’il puisse choisir les livres d’images selon ses intérêts. De cette façon, il participe de façon engagée et motivée. Nico connaît parfaitement le livre d’objets cachés choisi, car il l’a déjà regardé souvent. Il aime regarder les mêmes livres encore et encore et profite de cette répétition. Il découvre ainsi sans cesse de nouveaux détails et comprend l’ensemble du contenu. À quoi ressemble un vélo ? Une moto ? Les images et la conversation avec sa maman lui apportent des précisions.

De la moto au petit chat, en passant par l’avion et l’hélicoptère : les livres d’objets cachés, et les livres d’images en général, offrent de nombreux sujets de conversation et permettent de découvrir différents univers. C’est pourquoi il est important de donner aux enfants accès à une vaste sélection de livres d’images. 

## Réaliser des actions linguistiques exigeantes (p. 29 et suivantes)
Les images d’avions et d’hélicoptères du livre rappellent à Nico ses propres expériences et l’incitent à en parler. Lui aussi a déjà vu et entendu des hélicoptères, ce qu’il partage avec sa maman. Celle-ci répond à son initiative et évoque leurs expériences communes (« Tu sais où nous avions vu un hélicoptère ? »). Lorsqu’on parle d’événements ou d’expériences qui ont eu lieu dans le passé ou auront lieu dans le futur, les moyens linguistiques employés sont déterminants. Les faits discutés se situent au-delà de l’espace d’observation immédiat et ne sont donc pas visibles.

La maman aide Nico à formuler ses phrases et pose des questions appropriées que l’enfant comprend et qui l’aident à progresser. Elle incite ainsi Nico à approfondir ses propres propos.

## Tisser ensemble des longs fils de discussion (p. 23)
Souvent déjà, Nico et sa maman ont joué au jeu « Je vois quelque chose que tu ne vois pas ». Nico aime ce jeu et pose directement la première question à sa maman. Celle-ci participe volontiers et trouve l’homme nu. Nico et sa mère sont très investis dans cette activité. Le livre est pour eux une référence commune et leur sert de support pour entamer une longue discussion. Au début, ils cherchent ensemble des objets ; leurs regards et leur conversation se portent sur des vélos, des motos, et enfin des avions et des hélicoptères. À compter de ce moment-là, le fil de la discussion se poursuit au-delà du livre et autour de leurs propres expériences. Les deux restent concentrés sur leur activité et étoffent le thème. La mère entretient la conversation et encourage Nico à participer. Ce dernier peut ainsi consolider et développer ses capacités d'interaction. 


## Leggere e divertirsi con i libri illustrati e altri strumenti per bambini (pag. 32)
Nico è raffreddato e si gode un po’ di tempo con la sua mamma. Insieme sfogliano dei libri illustrati. Nico segnala chiaramente quale libro vuole guardare ora. È importante che la mamma assecondi il desiderio di suo figlio e che lui possa scegliere i libri illustrati in base ai suoi interessi. In questo modo è coinvolto e motivato nell’attività. Nico conosce molto bene il libro che ha scelto. L’ha guardato tante volte. Ama guardare e riguardare gli stessi libri e trae beneficio da quest’attività ripetuta. In questo modo può scoprire sempre più dettagli e comprenderne totalmente i contenuti. Come sono fatte le biciclette e le moto? Le immagini e il dialogo con la mamma chiariscono le differenze. 

Dalla moto al gattino, agli aerei e all’elicottero: i libri illustrati, offrono numerose opportunità e spunti di conversazione e consentono di scoprire vari mondi. Per questo è importante che i bambini abbiano accesso a un’ampia scelta di libri illustrati. 

## Realizzare atti linguistici stimolanti (pag. 29 segg.)
Le immagini degli aerei e degli elicotteri nel libro ricordano a Nico alcune sue esperienze personali e lo inducono a parlarne. Ha già visto e sentito un elicottero e lo comunica a sua mamma. Lei accoglie la sua iniziativa e si ricollega alle esperienze vissute insieme (“E sai dove altro abbiamo visto un elicottero?”). Quando si parla di avvenimenti o esperienze collocati nel passato o nel futuro, i mezzi linguistici sono particolarmente importanti. Infatti, in questo caso si parla di situazioni che si trovano al di fuori dell’area di percezione diretta e che quindi non sono visibili.

La mamma offre a Nico spunti di formulazione e gli pone domande adeguate che sono facilmente comprensibili, utili e stimolanti per il bambino. In questo modo induce Nico ad ampliare costantemente i suoi contribuiti.

## Intrecciare insieme sequenze di dialogo più lunghe (pag. 23)
Nico e la sua mamma hanno fatto spesso il gioco “Vedo quello che tu non vedi”. A Nico piace questo gioco e pone lui stesso la prima domanda a sua mamma. Lei si lascia coinvolgere e trova l’uomo nudo. Nico e sua madre sono assorti nel gioco. In tale contesto il libro funge da oggetto di riferimento comune e aiuta a far evolvere la conversazione. All’inizio il gioco di ricerca collettivo fa sì che il loro sguardo e il dialogo si concentrino su bici e moto e poi su aerei ed elicotteri. Da qui la conversazione si sposta, allontanandosi dal libro per ricordare avvenimenti ed esperienze personali. Anche adesso mamma e figlio sono concentrati sulla questione e sviluppano ulteriormente il tema. La mamma porta avanti la conversazione e incoraggia Nico a partecipare. In questo modo il bambino ha la possibilità di costruire e sviluppare costantemente le sue capacità di interazione.
