## Zeichen und Lautschrift erkunden (S. 31 f.)
„Ich möchte ‚Moira‘ schreiben!“ – Zahlen und Buchstaben interessieren Mira. Ihr Vater nimmt das Interesse ernst und hilft seiner Tochter bei der Erkundung der Zeichen. In Wörtern einzelne Laute und unterschiedliche Buchstabenformen erkennen und die Laute Buchstaben zuordnen können: das ist anspruchsvoll und braucht Unterstützung. Mit grossen Buchstaben schreibt der Vater die gewünschten Worte auf ein Blatt Papier und benennt die einzelnen Buchstaben dabei. So kann Mira erste Erfahrungen sammeln, wie Schriftbilder mit passenden Lauten verknüpft werden können. Einige Buchstaben kennt sie schon. Das macht sie sichtlich stolz.

Dass das „A“ und das „N“ verkehrt herum auf Miras Blatt stehen, spielt noch keine Rolle. Viel wichtiger ist der interessengeleitete und lustvolle Zugang, den Mira zur Schriftsprache erlebt. Buchstaben vergleichen, sie in verschiedenen Namen wiedererkennen und sie selber schreiben – das begeistert Mira. Bestimmt begegnen Mira noch viele weitere Gelegenheiten im Alltag, ihrem Interesse an Zahlen und Buchstaben nachzugehen: beim Lesen von grossen Schriftzügen auf Plakaten, beim Erkennen von Namen auf Klingelschildern oder beim gemeinsamen Schreiben von Einkaufslisten. Erwachsene können solche und ähnliche Anlässe nutzen, um die Interessen der Kinder für Zeichen und Schrift aufzunehmen und sie gemeinsam mit ihnen zu erkunden.

## Kinder in Interaktionen durch Impulse anregen (S. 27)
Der Vater nimmt Miras Interesse an den Buchstaben auf. Mit weiterführenden Fragen („Wer hat noch ein ‚N‘ gehabt?“) und weiteren Beispielen („Möchtest du noch ‚Elena‘ schreiben?“) motiviert er seine Tochter, am Thema dranzubleiben. Ausserdem vertieft er die Auseinandersetzung mit den Schriftzeichen durch das Einbringen neuer Aspekte: aus ‚Moira‘ wird ‚Mira‘! Solche Impulse unterstützen Kinder dabei, sich vertieft und weiterführend mit Themen zu beschäftigen.

## Interaktionen rahmen und steuern (S. 26 f.)
Auf dem Schoss des Vaters in der heimischen Küche fühlt sich Mira sichtlich wohl. Auch sein Lob („Sehr gut. Bravo.“) bestärkt sie in ihrem Tun. Unter diesen Voraussetzungen kann Mira sich ganz auf die Buchstaben und das Gespräch mit dem Vater konzentrieren.

Auch Nico – der jüngere Bruder – braucht etwas vom Vater. „Warte Nico, ich komme gleich zu dir.“ Damit gibt der Vater seinem Sohn zu verstehen, dass er ihn gehört hat. Trotzdem bleibt er mit seiner Aufmerksamkeit bei Mira. Erst als diese das Wort fertig geschrieben hat, wendet er sich Nico zu. Indem Erwachsene laufende Gespräche schützen und sich selbst nicht vorschnell ablenken lassen, helfen sie auch dem Kind, den Gesprächsfaden nicht zu verlieren und im Austausch zu bleiben.


## Discovering symbols and the alphabetic print system (p. 26)
“I want to write ‘Moira’!” – Mira is interested in numbers and letters. Her father takes her interest seriously and helps his daughter to investigate the symbols. It is not an easy task to recognise individual sounds and different letter forms in words, and to be able to assign sounds to letters. Her father writes the requested words in large letters on a piece of paper and names the individual letters as he is doing so. In this way, Mira can gain initial experience of how handwriting can be linked to matching sounds. She already knows some letters. It is clear how proud she is of this.

It doesn’t matter that the “A” and the “N” are back to front on Mira’s paper. Mira’s interest and pleasure in using written language is far more important. She loves to compare letters that she recognises in different names and to write them herself. Mira will very likely encounter many further opportunities in everyday life to pursue her interest in numbers and letters, such as when reading large lettering on posters, recognising names on doorbell signs or writing shopping lists together with someone. Adults can use these and other opportunities to develop children’s interest in symbols and text and to explore them together.

## Providing stimulation input in conversational interactions (p. 23)
Mira’s father develops her interest in the letters. By asking further questions (“Who has another ‘N’ in their name?”) and providing further examples (“Do you want to write ‘Elena’ now?”), he motivates his daughter to stick to the topic. Furthermore, he delves further into the discussion on the written symbols by introducing new aspects: “Moira” turns into “Mira”! Such stimuli scaffold children and help them to pursue topics further and in greater depth.

## Framing and steering interactions (p. 23)
Mira clearly feels at ease in her father’s lap in their cosy kitchen. His praise (“Well done. Bravo.”) also encourages her in her efforts. Under these conditions, Mira can concentrate fully on the letters and the discussion with her father.

Nico – her younger brother – also needs something from his father. "Wait, Nico. I’ll be right there.” By saying this, Nico’s father lets his son know that he has heard him. Nevertheless, his focus remains on Mira. Only when she has finished writing the word does he turn to Nico. When adults protect ongoing discussions and do not let themselves be prematurely distracted, they also help the child to maintain the discussion thread and remain in the exchange.


## Étudier les symboles et la transcription phonétique (p. 31 et suivantes)
« Je veux écrire Moira ! » Mira s’intéresse aux chiffres et aux lettres. Son père prend cet intérêt au sérieux et aide sa fille dans son exploration des symboles. Identifier les différents sons et les formes de lettres et savoir attribuer les uns aux autres est un exercice difficile qui requiert un peu d’aide. Le papa écrit les mots souhaités en lettres capitales sur une feuille et nomme chaque lettre. Mira apprend ainsi à associer les séquences de lettres aux sons. Elle connaît déjà certaines lettres, ce dont elle est visiblement fière.

Le fait que le « A » et le « N » soient à l’envers sur la feuille de Mira n’a pas d’importance. Ce qui importe, c’est l’intérêt et l’enthousiasme avec lesquels Mira découvre l’écriture : elle compare les lettres, les identifie dans différents noms et les écrit elle-même. Mira aura certainement d’autres occasions d'étudier les chiffres et les lettres durant son quotidien, notamment en lisant les grandes lettres sur les affiches, en identifiant les noms sur les plaques de sonnette ou en rédigeant ensemble la liste des commissions. Les adultes peuvent profiter de ce type de situation et de l’intérêt que les enfants manifestent pour les symboles et l’écriture pour les explorer avec eux.

## Inciter les interactions des enfants par stimulation (p. 27)
Le père alimente l'intérêt que Mira porte aux lettres. En lui posant des questions (« Qui a aussi cette lettre ? ») et en proposant d’autres exemples (« Tu veux écrire Elena ? »), il encourage sa fille à rester concentrée. Puis, il approfondit encore l’exercice autour des lettres en introduisant un nouvel aspect : « Moira » devient « Mira » ! Ce type de stimulation incite les enfants à se pencher de manière plus approfondie sur différents thèmes.

## Encadrer et diriger les interactions (p. 26 et suivantes)
Assise sur les genoux de son père dans la cuisine familiale, Mira se sent à l’aise. Les compliments de celui-ci (« Très bien. Bravo. ») la rassurent. Dans ces conditions, Mira peut se concentrer entièrement sur les lettres et sur la conversation avec son papa.

Nico, son petit frère, sollicite également son papa. « Attends, Nico, je viens tout de suite. » Le père indique à son fils qu’il l’a bien entendu. Son attention reste néanmoins concentrée sur Mira. Ce n’est que lorsqu’elle a fini d’écrire qu’il se consacre à Nico. En n'interrompant pas les conversations en cours et en évitant de se laisser distraire, les adultes aident les enfants à garder le fil de la discussion et à poursuivre l’échange.


## Scoprire il significato dei simboli e la pronuncia (pag. 31 segg.)
“Vorrei scrivere ‘Moira’!” – A Mira interessano i numeri e le lettere. Suo padre prende sul serio il suo interesse e la aiuta a scoprire i segni. Saper riconoscere i singoli suoni e le diverse forme delle lettere nelle parole e saper associare i suoni alle lettere è un compito impegnativo che richiede aiuto. Il papà scrive su un foglio le parole desiderate utilizzando grandi caratteri e nominando ogni singola lettera. In questo modo Mira accumula le sue prime esperienze su come collegare la scrittura ai giusti suoni. Alcune lettere le conosce già e ne va visibilmente fiera.

Non importa che la “A” e la “N” siano scritte al contrario sul foglio di Mira. Ciò che conta è l’approccio gioioso e pieno di interesse che Mira adotta verso la scoperta della scrittura. Confrontare le lettere, riconoscerle in nomi diversi e scriverle da sola è un’attività entusiasmante per Mira. Certamente avrà molte altre occasioni nella vita quotidiana per approfondire il suo interesse nei confronti di numeri e lettere: leggendo i grandi caratteri dei manifesti, riconoscendo i nomi sui campanelli o scrivendo insieme a un adulto la lista della spesa. Gli adulti possono sfruttare questo tipo di occasioni per assecondare l'interesse dei bambini per i simboli e la scrittura e per approfondirlo insieme a loro.

## Stimolare i bambini a interagire dando loro degli input (pag. 27)
Il papà di Mira asseconda il suo interesse per le lettere. Con domande di approfondimento (“Chi altro ha una ‘N’?”) e altri esempi (“Vuoi scrivere anche ‘Elena’?”) motiva sua figlia a continuare a scrivere. Inoltre entra nel merito dell'approccio ai caratteri aggiungendo altri aspetti: da ‘Moira’ si può arrivare a ‘Mira’! Questo tipo di input aiuta i bambini ad approfondire e continuare a occuparsi dell’argomento.

## Inquadrare e guidare le interazioni (pag. 26 segg.)
In braccio a suo padre nella cucina di casa Mira è visibilmente a suo agio. Anche le lodi del padre (“Ottimo. Brava.”) consolidano l’attività svolta. In queste circostanze Mira può concentrarsi totalmente sulle lettere e sul dialogo con il papà.

Anche il fratellino Nico chiede qualcosa al papà. “Aspetta Nico, sono subito da te.” In questo modo il papà fa capire a suo figlio che lo ha sentito. Ciononostante continua a dare attenzione a Mira. Solo quando lei ha finito di scrivere la parola, si volta verso Nico. Portando avanti le conversazioni in atto e non lasciandosi distrarre precipitosamente, l'adulto aiuta anche il bambino a non perdere il filo del discorso e a rimanere concentrato sullo scambio.
